VEOVEOANA is the natives term for sika deer’s hunting ground.
It was said that the Tsou’s used to chase the sika deers to this site before they are hunted and captured. The roundup hunting tradition has since petered out, but to create the experience for the tourists, the Totxsx Archery Field was constructed. We sincerely invite you to experience our culture and our stories.
Totxsx Archery Field. The term Totxsx is Tsou for archery. Archery is a basic skill for indigenous people on the island. Bows are often made with bamboo, which is also a material that symbolizes courage, responsibility, thankfulness, and the spirit of sharing.
