About 2 decades ago, after suggestions by his peers, Mr. Chen Huang Jen planted Arabica coffee beans in a field of Betel Nut trees. Due to the high elevation, its almost temperate climate, misty skies and fluctuation of temperatures year round, it is a haven for coffee trees. Mr. Chen delved deeply into the techniques of plantation and uses organic fertilizers in his cultivation, therefore the plantation is never in danger of pests. Beans are hand picked, washed, sun dried and then re-picked to ensure quality of the beans. It is then roasted to perfection. From 2008 to 2010, coffee beans from the estate came first place in 3 consecutive years in the Taiwan Premium Coffee Awards, making it the undisputed champion in coffee.
All championships are the sweet end to hard work much like a cup of coffee, the sweet notes often comes after bitter and acidic top notes.
