Located at the high altitude Tapang Village upwards of 1,200~1,400 meters high, Rainbow Liuli Ecological Farm occupies a large area of native forestry. The farm is filled with Tomorrow’s leaf, Cherry Blossoms, Peach Blossoms and Ice Jelly seeds and are all well taken care of within 8 hectares of diversified plantations. Coffee beans are planted near and below camphor and Alderwoods, with a small production of about 2,500 trees. Due to it’s uniqueness, the farm owner Mr. Chia-Rong Chuang and his beans are often award winners in coffee competitions.
Appraisals and evaluations have been done to these wet-processed beans to identify the distinctive fruity features of the coffee. Mr. Chuang has said, “this is the so-called taste of the ‘peaks’, and it is due to all of the geological factors combined to create such a unique flavor.” The ample sunshine, purity of air and water created such value for the beans. Every plant, every process and every packaging are done personally, to create a product that can’t be duplicated nor replaced.
Rainbow Liuli’s coffee has been awarded many times in the past such as the 2016 winner and special-class grade in Taiwan Premium Coffee Bean competition under the washed coffee bean division. In 2019, first prize in the honey processed division at the Alishan Elite Coffee Awards.
