After Typhoon Herb, Mr. Ching Long Chen of the Tsou people planted 240 coffee trees as a test run, the business grew, and he named the Estate TFU’YA. It now houses 3,000 coffee trees, with the land verified as organic. No fertilizers are used, and every method implemented within the farm is environmentally friendly and sustainable. Coffees are mostly planted below Ice Jelly plants, sunlight is limited, therefore the coffee grows slower with lesser fruit yield than normal. However, the nutritional value and sweetness is more evenly distributed within the beans, which makes every bean extraordinary.
TFU’YA Coffee Estate is founded by Mr. Ching Long Chen of the Indigenous ethnic group of Tsou. The coffee plantation is a verified organic farm. The land is treated with Beauveria to create the effects of pesticides while keeping the pasture non-toxic, odorless and no pollution. 30% of production are eaten by animals during harvest season, therefore the yield is scarce and extra valuable.
