VEOVEOANA is the natives term for sika deer’s hunting ground.

It was said that the Tsou’s used to chase the sika deers to this site before they are hunted and captured. The roundup hunting tradition has since petered out, but to create the experience for the tourists, the Totxsx Archery Field was constructed. We sincerely invite you to experience our culture and our stories.

Formosan Sika deers are new comers to Veoveoana. Experience up close and personal experience with the deers under the guidance of our master deer care taker.

It is a perfect experience for those that enjoy tribal activities, loves Alishan, loves the outdoors and love animals. For an intimate Tsou tribe experience, bring your families and friends along for this special ride.

➥Sika Deer Feeding Experience

 ➼Event Location: Sika Deer Sanctuary

 ➼Event Duration: Roughly 1 Hour

 ➼Admission Fee: $150 per person per experience.

※Fees include observations, feeding experience and 1 portion of deer feed.

※At the designated entry, enter after swiping QR code. (1 Meihua 1^st Road, Chuko Village, Fanlu Township, Chiayi County)

※The pass is limited to 1 patron only, every electronic ticket can only enter once; no repeated admissions after ticket has been checked in.

※Please arrive half an hour prior to your touring hour.

※Please confirm via phone before your admission dates.

Wednesday through Sunday and Public Holidays (2 tour sessions per day)

※Infants and children cannot enter without adult supervision.

※Latest entry is at 17:00.

※For the safety of your pets, we prohibit any pets entering the sanctuary. Pets can be safely left at the front desk if portable carry cage or leash is present.

※Sika deers can only be fed the grass feed provided by staff.

※Smoking or eating is not allowed in the sanctuary.

※Sika deers are naturally timid, easily rattled. For safety, during visiting hours, please refrain from loud music, shouting, running.

※Other Notices:

1. For reasons force majeure (including but not limited to typhoon, earthquakes, torrential rain etc…), and for the safety of everyone, event organizers should announce any delays or cancellations of any events asap. We will announce any changes and contact our patrons as soon as we can. Barring any disputes, the organizers retain the right to change, cancel or adjust the contents of our services.
